I can not believe I’m in my second year of training with Michigan State College’s IAT program as an entomology teacher!
My initial year mentor university entomology felt like handling bugs. It was disorderly, interesting, and occasionally frustrating. By year 2, something transformed: I had a system.

Teaching does not always get much easier, but you do get better. By year 2, I really feel less like I’m scrambling and even more like I’m really instructing.
